Showing, not telling is the key to screenwriting. Patty has written several award-winning screenplays and has conducted workshops, provided coverage and been a reader for the Austin Film Festival contest for several years. She has written and directed short films as well.

Being a journalist in the digital era is an exciting prospect. The world is your reader. Patty has 20 years of experience as a print journalist and has written, and edited award-winning stories. She has a master’s degree in Innovative Journalism from Syracuse University’s famed Newhouse School of Public Communications.
